 Job Specific Duties 

Participates in the delivery of basic nursing care, including Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and restorative programs, under the direction and supervision of the Charge Nurse.

ADLs may include bathing, grooming, dressing, eating, changing bed linens, and maintaining patients’ personal belongings. Nursing restorative programs may include bowel and bladder, dining/swallowing, range of motion, ambulation, restorative application of splints and braces, prosthetics, bed mobility, communication programs, falls prevention, skin at risk programs, diversional activities, and programming for cognitively impaired, as assigned. 

Communicates significant changes in condition to Charge Nurse. Documents daily care given & etc

Nurse Supervisor (Evening shift)

POSITION SUMMARY

The House Supervisor maintains nursing unit goals and objectives and is responsible for the supervision 

of nursing unit(s). The House Supervisor ensures compliance of nursing practices, procedures, systems, 

and processes with company policy as well as federal, state, and local regulatory requirements. The House 

Supervisor coordinates programs and services under the direction and in consultation with the Director of 

Nursing (DON). 

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide guidance, supervision, and management oversight to all nursing staff on all shifts. 

Ensure compliance with company policies as well as all federal, state, and local regulations. 

Supervises the nursing department in the absence of the DON/ADON as directed. 

Monitors staff compliance with assigned break times and patient care assignments. 

Effectively collaborate with medical staff and other departments to coordinate all aspects of patient 

care. 

Coordinates admissions, discharges, and transfers; ensures appropriate documentation. 

Conduct patient rounds and provide immediate feedback to assigned staff. 

Initiates coaching/counseling and/or corrective action as necessary. 

Review and investigate patient, family, and staff concerns; take action to resolve and prevent 

reoccurrence. 

Participate in the recruitment, selection, and onboarding of quality nursing staff. 

Reviews staffing at change of shift; assigns and replaces staff to meet patient care needs. 

Ensure nursing unit operates with consideration to budget and cost controls; manage and reduce 

unnecessary waste and spending when possible. 

Performs other duties as necessary for the successful operation of the healthcare center.  

 

 

PREREQUISITES, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

One year of nurse management / leadership experience preferred. 

Active, unencumbered licensure as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse in the 

state of employment. 

Ability to lead diverse team of individuals.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong ability to make independent decisions and work without direct supervision. 

Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government personnel, 

and the public. 

Must have thorough knowledge of current standards of nursing practice. 

Must be knowledgeable of computer systems and applications.

JOB SUMMARY -  Provides direct care to patients. Supervises and directs nursing staff in accordance with state, federal, and MFA guidelines. 

Licensure • Current license by the Virginia Board of Nursing to practice as a Licensed Practical or Registered Nurse. 

Experience and/or Pre-requisites • One (1) year of previous nursing experience preferred. • Management/leadership experience preferred.  

Job Specific Duties  

  • Participates in patient care conferences including patient 5 day meetings. Identifies goals and approaches. 
  •  Ensures adequate staffing on the unit. Participates in orientation, training and in-service education, and staff meetings 
  •  Establishes and enforces the center’s safety and health programs. Addresses all physical hazards 
  •  Ensures that all alleged violations involving mistreatment, neglect or abuse, including any injuries of unknown source, are reported immediately to the Administrator. Follows MFA policy. 
  • Performs direct patient care including: intervention and reevaluation of patient outcomes updating and provides necessary documentation

Nurse Unit Manager

Beaufont Health & Rehabilitation Center has an exciting opportunity for a Unit Manager, RN in our 120bed skilled rehab center in Richmond.

 

The Unit Manager will oversee clinical operations of the unit and is responsible for staff supervision of nurses and CNAs, as well as interfacing with physicians, QI reporting and follow-up, and providing clinical expertise to staff as needed. This unit provides care for our most clinically acute patients and residents. Typical hours are Monday through Friday day shift, with some weekend and on-call duties.

 

Requirements:

•Current license by the Virginia Board of Nursing to practice as a Registered Nurse.
•Minimum three to five years of experience as an RN, preferably in long term care.
•Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state regulations as they relate to long term care.
•Nursing Management experience preferred.
•BSN preferred.

Wound Care Treatment Nurse RN

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES Make written and oral report/recommendations to the Director as necessary/required, concerning the operation of the nursing services department as it specifically relates to wound care coordination Periodically review the department’s policies, procedure manuals, your job description, etc., and make recommendations for revisions to the Director. Participate in facility surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies as requested by the Administrator or Director of Nursing services. Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting, etc., as necessary Understands and complies with Corporate Compliance plan Participate in Quality Assurance Programs, and any other facility committee, or program which seeks to improve the performance and accuracy of resident care. Participate in facility focus group meetings as desired or requested Attends and participates in weekly wound care meetings Perform all assigned tasks according to our established policies and procedures, as your supervisors instruct them. Report all complaints and grievances made by the resident. Follow established personnel policies according to employee handbook and established policies and procedures. Develop and maintain a good working rapport with inter-departmental personnel, as well as other departments within the facility to ensure that services and activities can be adequately maintained to meet the needs of the residents. Responsible for accurate and timely documentation of wounds in the nurse’s notes at least weekly Responsible for all treatments required by licensed nurse on your shift and ensuring the wound care treatments are carried out at other times Evaluate high risk residents for pressure reduction intervention methods Conduct body assessments& documentation on all new admission per policy
